DSVS operates a 24-hour-a-day Helpline for people who have experienced domestic violence, dating violence, sexual violence, or stalking. The confidential line is staffed by DSVS employees during office hours and is covered by highly trained volunteer advocates on nights and weekends. Through the Helpline, survivors can access immediate assistance, including emergency shelter, transportation, food, and other essential needs.

Direct Services

Our direct services program is wide-ranging, and our goal is to provide a personalized safety plan for each client.

Ultimately, we believe our clients know their situation best, and we trust them to know what steps to take. We work to empower them by supporting the choices they make.

advocacy

• Resource referrals

• Assistance in making a report to law enforcement if you choose to do so

• Assistance in applying for orders of protection and for crime victim compensation

• Guidance with parenting plans and dissolutions of marriage related to domestic violence

• Assistance with documenting stalking or abusive behavior

• Free and confidential Sexual Assault Forensic Exam (SAFE) transportation with an advocate to and from Billings Clinic from Carbon or Stillwater County

• Emergency financial assistance

Transitional Services

While our Direct Services program is aimed at immediate solutions in moments of crisis, our Transitional Services seek to help survivors obtain housing, identify and work toward long-term goals, and become financially independent. These services are provided by our Transitional Services advocate. Through an ever-growing list of organizations we partner with, this program can connect survivors with financial counseling, job exploration, resume building, guidance with social service programs, and many other resources. Through DSVS Transitional Services, the future of individuals and families are being transformed.

Healing Together

Healing Together is a monthly opportunity to create space for survivors of domestic or sexual violence through activity-centered meetups. It's a low-barrier, FREE time to be surrounded by other survivors.

You do not have to disclose anything about your experiences to participate. To register for our next event, call us at 406-446-2296, email us at info@dsvsmontana.org, or see our Events page.

Home Again

Home Again, a furniture thrift store, helps DSVS fulfill its mission while also helping survivors furnish their new homes.
