Pride On Deck is a new event to kick off Pride Season in Montana! In observance of Pride, DSVS is hosting an open house for all who wish to know more about our services. Come learn about how we serve all who face interpersonal violence and sexual assault while uplifting our LGTBQIA+ community. Montana Pride will be on hand with merch, and we will have information about all of the upcoming Pride festivities in Montana. Light refreshments, knowledge, laughter, and above all solidarity are on deck!
Learn to Make Salves, Herbal Oils, and Tinctures! In this class, Stephanie Naftal from Bitterroot Botanicals will teach you how to make your own herbal oils, salves, and tinctures. Learn how to keep your salves simple or more complex and how easy it is to vary them for different uses. These three creations can help you stay healthy or bring better health to you and your family. The sky really is the limit with oils, salves, and tinctures. All supplies will be provided and Stephanie will explain the process step by step. You will be able to take at least one product home with you, maybe more if time allows! Let’s have an herbalist on every corner! Healing Together is a monthly opportunity to create space for survivors of sexual assault through activity-centered meetups. It is not a support group or meant to replace traditional therapy, just a low barrier FREE time to be surrounded by other survivors. You do not have to self-disclose anything about you experiences to participate. Our next event will be held on July 13th from 6am-8pm. Please RSVP by July 10th to email@example.com or call the DSVS office at (406) 446-2296

Through Domestic and Sexual Violence Services (DSVS) we have a mentoring program for students in Red Lodge. Adult role models (like yourself) meet with a student once a week for about an hour during the student’s lunch time at school (12:15p.m.- 12:59 p.m.). There’s no pressure to help with homework or give advice or anything of that nature-our mentors are just there to listen to their mentees, get to know them as a person, and model what a healthy relationship looks like. Here is what one mentor said about the program: “I love mentoring because it’s such a simple way to offer support to a smart, hilarious, and constantly surprising youth. We hang out during lunch, and he shows me all the things he excels at like Magic and speed Rubik’s cube solving. We play games and chat. He’s a great little friend!” To register for our Mentor Training on Monday, September 11 from 5:00 p.m.- 6:30 p.m. OR Wednesday, September 13 from 5:00 p.m.-6:30 p.m., please contact Elizabeth Hickson at (406) 446-2296 or email@example.com
